| 30.8.2008...................... |
Hello everyone. First, a show
update: We'll be playing at Sideffest 2008 in Helsinki. It's held at a
secret location, so you'll have to do a little detective work to get
the address, but it'll be worth it! See the Shows section for some info
and the first clue (actually the only clue) you'll need to solve this
mystery.
The second piece of news is that the Ultraconservative Mathias Sings CDr we made with our friends Athletic Arms is now sold out... More records, shows and other stuff coming, we think. Peace to all. |

| 23.6.2008...................... | We're very happy to announce that the new Verilöyly/Candy Cane/Navigations/Cahier
split CDr has been released. And it's a beauty! There's some info
regarding the record on the Records page of our site so please head
over there to drink from the fountain of knowledge. We're working on new songs and ideas, but more of that later as there's a summer going on and we must not miss it! All the best to you all. |
| 4.5.2008....................... | Our new EP Good Times End Times
is out. This is a from-the-vaults kind of release as we've recorded the
songs over a year ago. We feel that this EP marks the end of a certain
era of our band. A new phase is beginning, and a change is taking
place as those of you who have been to our shows lately may have
heard. Life and music are completely intertwined and mirrored in
each other. Changes in our lives will bring forth changes in the music
and vice versa. Full of hope we travel... Anyway, please buy our new EP now as we only made 50 of these. The songs still sound quite nice to us and now you can have them in a really beautiful package too. And hey, if you're in Turku we have two great shows coming up this month. Check out the Shows section for details. Also also! Our dear friend Marko's new label Rabbit Ilsn will release a four way split CDr with two songs each from Cahier, Candy Cane, Verilöyly and us. This will be an awesome record! Coming in June! |
| 1.3.2008....................... | We've made a new record with our friends Athletic Arms called Ultraconservative Mathias Sings. It's
not a split record as members from both bands contribute on all tracks.
An inspiring and beautiful experience. See the Records page for more
details. We have a new ep coming up in a few weeks as well. We call it Good Times End Times and it includes four songs we recorded about a year ago. If you've been to our shows in the last year or so you'll probably recognize at least a couple of these tunes. Updates about the record coming soon. |
| 10.1.2008..................... | Peace
and love for the new year everyone! We've got some shows coming up. So if you want to come see us play check out the myspace page and the Shows section here for updated details. |
| 28.10.2007.................... | Hey! We're playing a show in December! Check
out the Shows page for details! Other news: We've got around to making our own myspace page. Good times! Mp3's and updates! You can find the page here. Now this may be hard to believe but we have actually updated the Links page. There are links there! And each of those links will take you to some of our lovely friends. Click 'em and see! |
| 19.6.2007.................... | The ultimate summer
soundtrack also known as the Candy Cane/Navigations split is out now! 2
songs from Candy Cane and 5 from us, all raced through in under 13
minutes. All of our songs are about bears. The
material on the disc is pretty wide ranging, noisy and
beautiful and probably a little surprising too. We made just a 100 of
these so everyone interested should get their copy right now. You can
get it either from us or CC, so get in touch. More info on the Records page. |
| 22.4.2007.................... | Shows updated. Our next release is also just around the bend: A split cdr ep done with our crazy buddies from Tampere, CANDY CANE. More details about this thing coming soon. |
| 20.2.2007.................... | New website (Grazie PD)! More shows! |
| 16.10.2006.................. | We've got two great shows coming up:
First, we'll play ZERGAFEST celebrating 10 years of Zerga
Records at Klubi in Turku on 19.10. where we'll play with the
awesome GUAPO
(uk) and FUN. We'll also play at ROBOT
ROCK! at Kuudes Linja in Helsinki on 3.11. This show is with HOTGUITARS.
Come say hi to us! |
| 16.9.2006................... | Hey everyone, long time no see! This time
we've got some exciting news for all y'all. So read on. First, we're honored and humbled to let you know that our version of "Ritz Dance" is on the magnificent Silkworm tribute record An Idiot to Not Appreciate Your Time: The Songs of Silkworm. This thing is a massive 2cd release with 29 beautiful versions of some of the greatest rock songs ever written. Other participating bands and artists include Heather Whinna & Steve Albini, The Kadane Brothers and .22 just to name a few. So it's an understament to say that we're in good company. (Oh, and by the way, Niko did a solo version of "Don't Make Plans This Friday" under the name Trestle Music and it's on the record as well.) An Idiot to Not Appreciate Your Time: The Songs of Silkworm was released by Genuflect Records, run by our hero, Isaac Turner of Kalamazoo, Michigan. Salut Ike, you're a beautiful man! Only 1000 copies were pressed and apparently they're going like hot cakes, so go here to order your copy before it's too late. Trust us, this is the one boat you don't want to miss. We'll be getting some extra copies of the record as well, so all you Finnish dorks can get them from us at our shows or by e-mailing us. Now that's a lot of info, but there's more: Our song "Learning to Smoke" is on the compilation LP Hahmotushäiriö, out on Kissankusi Records. 49 minutes of punk, noise, improv and bad manners on a lovely slab o' black wax. It rocks, alright. Get you copy here. Many thanks to Raine of Kissankusi Records. You are a fine fellow. |
| 15.3.2006................... | Another show added. Yeah, that's right kids, we have two shows on the same day. Both in Turku. |
| 3.2.2006..................... | Things are once again happening at a glacial pace here in Navigationsland. We do have a couple of shows coming up, so check out the shows section. We are also trying to make this here site a bit more pleasing to the human (and animal) eye. There's a really nice review (in Finnish) of The Green Valley here. |
| 8.11.2005................... | Welcome friend, you have indeed come to
the right place! A lot of things going on here... We've talked about a website for a long time and now we finally have one! Whoo! And the crowd goes wild!
Our first full length record has just come out. It's called The Green Valley and we're
quite proud of it. The Green Valley
consists of 8 songs and is about 36 minutes in length. You can listen
to a couple of songs and find info on how to get a copy on the records
page. The record is only available on vinyl (180 gram high quality
vinyl, mind you), so if you don't have a turntable yet, here's your
reason to get one.
If you'd like to write to us about something don't hesitate to use the e-mail address found on the contact page. We're friendly. There are some shows in the works too, so keep checking the site for updates. And keep watching the skies! Be safe. |
